Afra The MOM Boss

Afra Al Marar is an Emirati filmmaker, producer, and content developer with 16 years of experience in the film industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Public Relations from Abu Dhabi University, an MBA in entrepreneurship & innovation, and a Higher Diploma in Applied Media from CERT.

Afra is the founder and general manager of Toaster Artistic Productions, a production company that offers complete services for film production to international standards. She also specializes in and excels at concept development, scriptwriting, directing, producing, media distribution and buying, and its strategies.

She worked as a creative producer for Baynounah TV and is a media industry committee advisor for Higher Colleges of Technology. Afra produced 150+ hours of Live & pre-recorded TV programs and five short films screened across local and international film festivals. In addition, she worked as a creative developer, content developer and writer, project manager for six digital and printed books, and media buyer and advertising executive for cultural and touristic campaigns in the UAE.
